Praying the Rosary

We often think of praying the Rosary as a uniquely Roman Catholic practice. What a lot of people don’t realise is that the Rosary has deep roots in the early church, and that many thousands of Anglicans pray it every day here in the UK.

At All Saints there is a Rosary Group that meets at 12.10pm each Monday to pray together. We meet and discuss the issues we’d like to pray for, then hold them before God as we step through the simple and beautiful prayers of the Rosary. We use the Rosary as a scaffold for our prayers, and as a comfortable discipline that brings our minds and bodies into focus before Jesus.

Learning the Rosary is simple, but it’s something that’s much easier to learn in person than over the internet. Come along on a Monday, and there will always be someone on hand to show you how.

We have free Rosaries to give away, along with instruction sheets you can take with you. These can be found on the round table in the Lady Chapel, and are available all week. Please do come in and help yourself.
