A church for today. A vision for tomorrow.
All Saints has stood at the heart of the city for centuries. It has witnessed baptisms and funerals, celebrations and crises, moments of great joy and profound sorrow. Through changing times, it has remained a place of prayer, welcome and hope.
Today, that ministry continues in new ways. All Saints is open seven days a week. Worship remains at its heart, while visitors, community groups, schools, concert audiences and café customers bring life to the building every day.
But buildings like this don’t look after themselves. The systems installed a generation ago are reaching the end of their useful life. Energy costs continue to rise. The challenge of caring for creation has become more urgent. Essential facilities need renewal, and some repairs can’t be postponed indefinitely.
This project is our chance not simply to maintain All Saints, but to prepare it for the future.
The Vision
Thirty years ago, All Saints was reordered to create a flexible space for worship and community life. That investment transformed the church. Now we’re building on that foundation.
The All Saints Futures Project will:
- Move the building towards net zero carbon
- Install solar panels and heat pumps
- Replace and upgrade all lighting
- Renew essential facilities, including toilets
- Carry out vital repairs to protect the fabric of the building
- Improve how we tell the Christian story through the space itself
This is about staying sustainable, welcoming, and ready for whatever comes next.
