Meet the Team

Jonathan joined the West Hereford Team in 2025 and serves across all three churches. He is married to Amanda, walks the dog most mornings, and writes hymns, poetry, and prose alongside parish ministry. He tries to lead by equipping and empowering others rather than directing them.

Christine was licensed as Curate to the West Hereford Team on 1st June. She grew up in Leicestershire, trained as a cartographer and later a teacher, and lived for some years in Hong Kong, where her faith deepened. She has also worked in health and social care, including as a Dementia Adviser and with the brain injury charity Headway. Christine is married to Mark, and they have two grown children. She was ordained last July, and her ministry is rooted in mission, community, and walking alongside people in their faith.

Paul joins the team in September.

David is an Hon Assistant Bishop in the Diocese (retired) and helps out across the diocese – but lives in our benefice and stands in when others are unavailable. He is a northern lad who began his working life as an academic mediaevalist before turning his collar round and serving in parish ministry for many years before becoming Bishop of Huntingdon. He continues to research and write on the Middle Ages and enjoys setting and solving difficult crosswords! He is married to Jean who is also active in the benefice and they have four children – two of whom are local (one is a Rector in the Golden Valley). In the end, people are what matter to him most in ministry, and helping them bring heaven to earth and lift earth to heaven.

Is a retired priest who worships and ministers at All Saints and leads the Christian Meditation Group. He particularly values reflective conversations as a way of deepening relationships and faith. He has also had a book published by Grove Books and a second one is forthcoming. Both are on pastoral care.

Malcolm joined the Team in 2014, having been a Licenced Reader since 1969. He has a background in education and is married to Vicki. They have two children, two grandchildren and two great grandchildren. He is currently the Hereford Deanery Sub-Warden of Readers/LLMs.

Chris became a Reader in 1988 when he was living in Surrey. He Joined the team in 2009 shortly after retiring from working as a solicitor. He has been involved in a number of initiatives across the team including being part of the Messy Church outreach which the team hosted for a number of years, and Open the Book. Both ventures are designed to bring Bible stories to pre-school and school age children. Chris enjoys leading and being involved with Bible study groups with an emphasis on contemporary application, within a relaxed home environment. These have often been of a seasonal nature.

Stuart retired to Hereford from Birmingham after a career in the police where he qualified as a psychologist.  He is married to Janine and they have two grown sons. He became a Reader in 2014 and his ministry in the church seems a joint endeavour with Janine.  He and Janine help run CHATT, the monthly meeting over traditional English afternoon tea at the church.  He is the chaplain at the alms houses in Whitecross Road and also leads a regular monthly service at Fownhope Church.

A former fireman, recently retired from St Michael’s Hospice in the city.

An Anna Chaplain alongside her ministry as a Licensed Lay Minister, supporting older church members and communities pastorally and spiritually.

Under Ewan’s direction, the choir at Holy Trinity continues to flourish into an intergenerational group bringing depth and beauty to our worship each week.

Based at All Saints, Mel runs the Faith in Art group which encourages local artists through workshops and exhibitions.
