What if there’s another way to live?

There is never enough time. Families are under impossible pressure. The phone in our pocket promises company and delivers exhaustion. There must be a better way.

Come and See is a short, honest introduction to Jesus of Nazareth and his way of life, written by our Priest in Charge, Jonathan Widdess.

It starts with the tiredness most of us already recognise, a couple staring at their phones instead of each other, a young family too exhausted to pray. From there it tells the story Jesus told about a shepherd who goes looking for one lost sheep, and asks a simple question: what if that’s what God is actually like?

Along the way it looks honestly at who Jesus was, what happened to him, and what it might mean to trust him. It ends with three small, practical ways to begin: a daily pause, a way of reading the Gospels slowly, and a simple breath prayer.

Who It’s For

Anyone who’s noticed that something isn’t quite working, and is curious enough to spend ten minutes with a short book. No background in church or faith is assumed.

The Next Step

Come and See ends by pointing towards Credo, our six-week course for anyone who wants to explore further, in conversation with others asking the same questions.

If you’d like to talk it through first, we’d be glad to hear from you.
