Holy Trinity, Whitecross Road
A church for the local community, shaped by music, and a warm welcome.
Holy Trinity sits on the western side of Hereford, serving a mixed and lively parish — social housing and privately owned homes, long-established families and newer arrivals. A community with a strong sense of identity, shaped by local schools, by neighbours who have known one another for years.
Music gives Holy Trinity its particular character. Under our Director of Music, Ewan Murray, the choir continues to flourish: an intergenerational group bringing beauty and depth to our worship each week. The church is regularly used as a rehearsal and performance space by local musicians, and serves as a concert venue for the Three Choirs Festival. National music boards hire the space for examinations. Music here isn’t an add-on — it’s woven into who we are.

Our Sunday worship is centred on the Choral Eucharist, celebrated with reverence, warmth, and attentiveness to the Spirit. Once a month we hold Morning Worship, offering a different rhythm. On Thursdays, a quiet Holy Communion gathers those who value a gentler mid-week moment.
Holy Trinity looks outward. Our Repair Café, begun in October 2024, is a practical, joyful expression of our Eco Church commitments and our A Rocha Silver Award. CHATT, our monthly afternoon tea and cake, is a lifeline for those who might otherwise be isolated. We hold a monthly Eucharist at a local care home, and our Open the Book team leads assemblies in local primary schools.
Holy Trinity is also now the parish church for the former parish of St Nicholas’, following that church’s closure in December 2024, and warmly welcomes members of that congregation.
