Losing someone we love is one of the hardest things we face. We are here, and we would like to help.
A funeral is a chance to give thanks for a life, to grieve openly, and — if only for an hour — to find a place where the weight of loss can be held by something larger than ourselves.
We conduct funeral services in any of our three churches and at the crematorium. Whether your loved one had a strong faith, a quiet faith, or no faith at all, we will work with you to shape something that truly honours them. Every funeral is different. There is no template.
Everyone has the right to a funeral service in their local parish church, whatever their background or church attendance, and to be buried in the parish churchyard or have their ashes interred there. Your local vicar can also take the service at a crematorium or a woodland burial site.
Funeral fees are set nationally, and your funeral director will usually include them in their bill. There is no fee for the funeral of a child or young person under 16, or for the burial of a stillborn infant.
