Paul Roberts licensed at All Saints
On Thursday 3rd September, we gathered as a team at All Saints to welcome the Revd Paul Roberts as he was licensed as Assistant Curate (Team Vicar Designate) for the West Hereford Team Ministry.
The service was led by the Bishop of Hereford, the Rt Revd Richard Jackson, and brought together people from across our three churches, along with local clergy, friends and civic representatives. It was a lovely occasion, and a significant moment as Paul begins his ministry with us.

As part of the service, representatives from our churches presented Paul with a Bible, water and bread and wine, reminders of the different parts of his ministry among us: proclaiming the good news of Jesus, baptising and sharing in the Lord’s Supper.

Paul will be based primarily at All Saints, serving the church and the wider city centre. He will lead worship at All Saints on three Sundays each month, with the fourth Sunday taking him to Holy Trinity or St Michael’s as part of the life of the wider Team.
During the week, Paul will spend time in and around All Saints and Bill’s Kitchen, meeting people, offering a listening ear and getting to know the many people who pass through our doors. He will also work alongside Mel Carter, our Local Volunteer Missioner, and the Faith in Art group as we continue to find ways of sharing the life of the church with the wider city.
Paul will be working closely with Jonathan, Christine and with the wider ministry team as we seek to serve our three churches and the communities around them.

We are very glad to welcome Paul and his family to West Hereford, and we look forward to all that his ministry will bring to All Saints and to the wider Team.
