Marking the death of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II

As we mourned the death of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II, the churches of the West Hereford Team offered the following opportunities to pray, reflect or talk.

Holy Trinity was open between 2.00pm and 6.00pm each day, with a short service of BCP Evening Prayer at 5.30pm. An official Book of Condolence was available during these times.

All Saints was open during café hours with an area set aside for quiet reflection and a special Mass said on Friday 9th September at 12.10pm.

St Nicholas’ offered a short service of prayer and reflection on Saturday 10th September at 12noon, remaining open until 1.00pm, and on Sunday 11th from the morning service at 11.00am until 2.00pm.

St Michael’s, Breinton opened on Saturday 10th September between 10.00am and 2.00pm, and from the service on Sunday morning, 11th September, at 9.30am until 12noon.

Gracious God, we give thanks for the life of your servant Queen Elizabeth, for her faith and her dedication to duty. Bless our nations as we mourn her death and may her example continue to inspire us; through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.
