Team Talk February 2026

This month:

Jonathan writes on hope as an anchor for the soul in uncertain times, and introduces Dust and Glory, a Lent journey shared across the whole Team, beginning with an Ash Wednesday service at Holy Trinity on 18 February and continuing on three further Wednesday evenings. The Reverend Jane Plackett-Ferguson, Chaplain to the Bishop of Hereford, writes movingly on grief, spring, and light breaking into darkness, drawing on her own mother’s death. Jonathan also shares an original poem, Pilgrim Dust, reflecting on how our horizons narrow with age, and writes pastorally on the grief of not being able to attend a funeral. There is Holy Trinity’s annual Foodbank statistics and Repair Cafe report, news of the Great British Spring Clean litter pick, and a piece from Jean Thomson tracing Muffin the Mule’s visit to Hereford’s County Theatre in 1952.
